WHO WE ARE

for some reason we can never have everyone present at one meeting...
We are the Life Guards Students for Life
Our group’s first meeting was December 10th 2021, with just 4 people: Megan, Tessa, Leah, Jocelyn. I would say we haven’t grown too much but it’s definitely more than 4 people now.
We are officially a high school Students for Life group, but include people of various ages. Our group doesn’t represent just one high school (mostly just weirdo homeschoolers lol) but hopefully in the future if we get big enough there can be a different group representing every school in our area.
That would be amazing.
So… what kind of group is this anyway? (brace for controversial impact)
We are a pro-life group. Our intentions are to show the reality of abortion. To show them that no one needs to feel so hopeless that they turn to a place that will kill their babies. Speaking the truth in love, we are here to raise awareness of what abortion is, and show the alternative loving options. Otherwise said in the SFL missions statement:
"Students for Life exists to transform culture by recruiting, training, and mobilizing the pro-life generation to abolish abortion and promote the non-violent alternatives already available to women in crisis."
It’s often said that we are trying to make abortion “illegal and unthinkable”
Our group, although small, intends to do just that. We hold meetings every other week. We make excursions to Planned Parenthood, 29th and B street as often as we can, to talk and offer resources to people in need. We go to events and table to represent our group and start the conversation.
